Robert Lambert will replace Artem Laguta in TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2018. British rider will be the youngest one in the line up of this year's Individual European Championship.
Lambert turned 20 on April 5th, but despite his young age, rider from Norwich has already gathered many titles not only in junior categories. He has alreay had a chance to start in big-time events, like during the Speedway World Cup 2017, which was taken in Leszno.
- We're really happy with Rober Lambert joinging the line up. British rider is a Individual Speedway Junior European Championship from the past season, so his presence among TOP 15 riders of Europe, is most definitely legitimate - Piotr Szymański, Chairman of Track Racing Commission FIM Europe.
Lambert will be the only rider from Great Britain, starting in this year's SEC.
- It's a great step for European speedway. British riders have been showing a lot how to effectively and efficiently race and Robert Lambert, despite his young age is a rider with potential to become of the best riders in the world - Dickie Staff, president of Auto Cycle Union Bikesport GB added.
Nomination for Robert Lamber brought joy also to the organizers - One Sport.
- Robert Lambert is a rider with huge potential, so we're really happy with him joining the line up of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship. We haven't had Brits, except Tai Woffinden back in 2013, in the Euro Chammpionship, so his presence is a great sign, when it comes to cooperation with British federation.
First round of SEC 2018 coming on June 23rd in Gniezno. Tickets are available and can be purchased via ebilet.pl
