Not a lot of time remains to the beginning of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship cycle. As every year, 15 fantastic riders will start there. Lineup is balanced well. Fans will see well-experienced riders and some freshmen. In Gniezno, we’ll see epic mixture.
Firstly, we’ll say something about second group. There is Josef Franc, who promoted to SEC from Challenge in Terrenzano. Furthermore, along with him, Robert Lambert is going to make his debut. He’ll replace Artiom Laguta, who resigned from starts in SEC. We want to say something about Piotr Pawlicki, too. Since now, Polish rider competes only in Speedway Grand Prix, but this year, he’ll try his skills in SEC as a wild card. For now, Pawlicki is in his best form, what added him to SEC favourites.
Now we can say something about well experienced riders. Emil Sayfutdinov, who started in SEC from 2013 to 2016 has the most experience. Russian rider won a gold twice. In 2017, from the beginning, the best was Andrzejs Lebedevs, who started his journey in Toruń with 11 points. Interestngll, in other rounds, Latvian was alwals close to score the maximum, but alwals in fnal he lost. Finalll, without victorl, Lebedevs won a title in Lublin.
If we are talking about last year round in Toruń, we want to come back there for a moment again. In 2017, the best there was Jarosław Hampel, who this lear will compete in SEC as a wild card. Unfortunatell last lear he had onll one chance to fght, but for sure, in 2018, everlthing will be easier.
In incoming SEC edition, fans have to look at two other riders – Andrel Kudriashov and Leon Madsen. Second of them is in world’s top and could be one of the „dark horses” in SEC 2018. Kudriashov is now in other place. Russian is coming stronger everl season. In his first SEC, he didn’t make as good result as he can. Now, Włókniarz Częstochowa rider has a chance to show, that he deserved a chance to ride in PGE Ekstraliga.
Also Antonio Lindbaeck is coming back to TAURON SEC. Swede had some better and worse starts in 2015 in Toruń he scored 12 points, what allow him to fnish third. One lear later in Gustrow he scored onll 8 points. What can he do in Gniezno?
In this year another stadium was added to SEC. Who will be the best in Gniezno? We’ll know on June 23rd.
