Kacper Woryna took second place during the third round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2019. In Vojens, the Polish representative scored 11 points and before the final round of the competition, which will be held in Chorzów, he still has real chances to win one of the medals of this year's Individual European Championships.
For Woryna, it was a debut at the legendary Danish facility. The Pole competed in Vojens in 2010 on ... the mini track.
- I've never traveled here before. I had the opportunity to start at the mini track, which is located next to the stadium, the more I am happy with today's performance - said Woryna.
Man from Rybnik started struggling in Denmark from scratch, but ended the next two races with victories. In Vojens, Woryna showed an even form, and two points scored in the 19th race gave him a pass to the "last chance run". There Woryna gave way only to Michael Jepsen Jensen and reached the final. In the last race of the day, a rider of the Speedway Polish Team fought a fierce duel with Mikkel Michelsen, who eventually won the tournament in Vojens. For Woryna, it was the second place in a row on the podium. Two weeks ago he was second during the competition in Toruń.
- I am very happy to win another place on the podium. Not much was missing, and I could overtake Mikkel Michelsen. Looking at the whole competition, I am happy with my performance, but I have reason to work even harder because I had weaker races. I gave my best, but I know I can afford even more. It's still a long way to the first place. Before the competition, I would take the podium in Vojens blind - said the Polish representative.
The final round of the competition will take place on 28 September at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów. A year ago, Woryna had the opportunity to take part in this special facility, during the fourth round of TAURON SEC 2018, in which he started thanks to the "wild card" granted to him by the organizers of the cycle. The competitor emphasizes that he already has a plan for this competition, and the most important factor that will ensure success is to be calm.
- The track may differ from the one that was a year ago. I have a plan for this competition and I will be 100% prepared for it. I will try to approach them calmly - Kacper Woryna finished.
