Danes are the most succesfull nation in Speedway Pairs World Cup. They are leading in medal classification of this tournament, which has been organised from 1970 to 1993.

Representatives of the smallest of the Nordic countries won a total 17 medals in Pair World Cup. They were standing eight times on the top place of the podium - first time in 1979 (in Vojens), and last time in 1991 (in Poznań). First gold was won by legendary pair Ole Olsen - Hans Nielsen. Nielsen was riding in 1991 in Poznań too, where he and Jan O.Pedersen raised the most important cup.

Will Danes repeat the succes of their countrymen and win this tournament? They've got very serious arguments. First of them is Nicki Pedersen and he's three times Individual World Champion. "Power" is struggling with hand injury and his health is far away from ideal. Despite this, there is a big chance that till next month Pedersen will recover and he will be able to compete in Best Pairs tournament on Motoarena.

Partner of Nicki for Eurosport Speedway Best Pairs tournament will be chosen on 24th May. That time in Slangerup first of the two Individual Danish Championships tournaments will take place. The winner of this cup will be a partner of Nicki Pedersen on 8th June on Motoarena.

Who currently have the biggest chances to perform next to "Power" in Best Pairs tournament? When we look on current form of the riders, the favourite of the nomination is Niels Kristian Iversen, but Hans Andersen, Leon Madsen and Michael Jepsen Jensen won't be making it easy for him to win. It's very possible that one of them will be a reserve rider.
