Robert Lambert became the new Individual European Champion. At the end of the TAURON SEC 2020 cycle, the British won the final round in Toruń. The fight for the gold medal was decided excitingly in the very final heat in which Lambert crossed the finish line before Leon Madsen.

Since the beginning of the season Lambert has been in impressive shape, which transferred into his final result in this year's TAURON Speedway Euro Championship cycle. Before the final round in Toruń, the Brit had a two point advantage over the second in the classification, Leon Madsen. During the meeting in Toruń, the difference in points was steadily changing in both directions, so the final heat decided about the final results. Here, Lambert won the start, after which he ran away from his rivals and crossed the finish line as first.

The Brit emphasizes that both, the competition in Toruń and the whole TAURON SEC 2020 series were not easy, but the work of his team as well as the support of fans and sponsors significantly influenced his final result.

- It's such an incredible feeling and I'm so happy about it. A lot of work was going on to give me that position. It was a tough meeting and all the way through. It was close between both of us. In the last race, once I made that start and it was all I needed to do - focused on the start and get out. I managed to do that and managed to get this beautiful trophy in front of me. I'm honored to be an European Champion. I'm very happy and maybe a bit later the feeling will sink a bit deeper. I'm just so happy about it. I can't believe what happened and in the situation we've been with the virus and stuff like this. I got not so much racing and now to be able to come up with the title is fantastic. Thanks to everyone who has been helping me and supporting me through that time - said Individual European Champion, Robert Lambert.
