For the first time in history, Łódź will host the round of Individual European Championship. One of the biggest cities in Poland will host the third round of the series. The meeting at Moto Arena is scheduled for September 3.
The Honorary Chairman of the club, Witold Skrzydlewski does not hide his joy at the possibility of organizing such a competition. He also draws attention to the attractive location of the city of Łódź for such events.
- We are happy that an event of this rank will be held in Łódź for the first time. Thanks to the modern arena, but also because of its location in the centre of Poland, our city is an ideal place to host speedway events at the international level - said Skrzydlewski.
Lódź's Moto Arena was officially opened in 2018. This facility can accommodate about 10 000 spectators. Witold Skrzydlewski talks also about a huge promotion of the third round of SEC series, which will be held at the Orzeł's stadium.
- Not only the club but also the city of Lódź will benefit from this. We hope that this will not be the last event - on that level - which will take place at Moto Arena. As you can see, meetings here are full of overtakes and emotions - adds the Honorary Chairman of the club.
Apart from Łódź, this year's Speedway Euro Championship series will take place in Rybnik, Güstrow and Pardubice.
