Andreas Jonsson is another participant of this year Speedway European Championships who has chosen the lucky number for him. Swede will appear on a track with number #100 on his plastron.

In 2013 SEC Jonsson was supposed to be a regular participant but, because of the injury, he couldn’t. In the series he was replaced by another Swede Fredrik Lindgren so this season will be the beginning for Andreas in SEC.

- I had the injury at the worst moment. It was six missed weeks and after that it was really hard to come back. I was some steps behind everybody. I’m happy that that season is over and I can relax and I’m thing about this which will happen this year – says Andreas Jonsson.

The number which was chosen by Jonsson is connected with his rivalry for World Champion title. - #100 is my lucky number! It's special for me because I won jubilee 100th Grand Prix tournament and later I also won my 100th tournament.That’s why I remember this number and I don’t want to have anything else in European Championships.

Thomsen and Lahti won the qualifying rounds for the SEC Challenge

We have met the first eight riders who advanced to the 2024 SEC Challenge. The final round of qualification for the Individual European Championship will take place on May 12 in Daugavpils.

TAURON SEC quallies starting lists

Qualifying rounds of the TAURON SEC 2024 will take places in Debrecen, Mureck, Stralsund, and Krsko. From each round, the top four riders will advance. An exception is the round in Stralsund, where if any of the Latvian riders will promote, the top three will advance to the SEC Challenge final in Daugavpils.

Another week full of racing for the permanent participants of TAURON SEC 2024. The third round of the PGE Ekstraliga took place on Polish tracks, and on Saturday, the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series was inaugurated with a round in Croatia.

Lyager Wins Danish Qualification for TAURON SEC

On Tuesday evening, the final round of the Danish qualifiers for the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2024 and the FIM Speedway Grand Prix 2025 took place at the Vojens Speedway Center. The top five contenders secured passes to participate in the upcoming tournaments.
