Speedway Best Pairs tournament transmitted live on Eurosport was watched in Europe by nearly 4 millions people! It's a very significant number, altough the organizers have announced that the number of audience of "black sport" on this station has a chance to grow.
- We are very happy of this statistics and the interest of the audience. However, we can not say that these numbers have exceeded our expectations, because we know that we can do even more, and this is just the beginning of our speedway projects in cooperation with Eurosport. The graphs show how much power and potential has sport shown on TV and how big is the range of this station - said Jan Konikiewicz from One Sport company - the organizer of pair competition in Toruń.
- We have a lot of ideas and step by step we'll try to realise them - unveils our interlocutor. - We started with Eurosport Speedway Best Pairs tournament in Toruń in June, and in July we've got another challenge and big event before us - says Konikiewicz. - I mean the first round of Individual European Championships under the name of SEC. This competition will take place in Gdańsk and we hope that thousands of fans from the country and from the continent will visit it to watch this tournament.
- We are open for every interested people, so the riders, sponsors, cities and countries. This kind of projects are not only great sport show, but also the perfect advertisement. We think that Europe championships need to give them proper prestige and prominence.
