Are Danes certainties to the gold?

 It’s over a month to the inaugural tournament of Speedway Best Pairs Cup at MotoArena. Danes are another team which has confirmed their squad. Nicki Pedersen and Niels Krisitan Iversen are certainties as far as Danish team is concerned. Last year they were worse only than Australians who they manage to beat only during the last round in Eskilstuna.

“Power” is a rider who doesn’t have to be introduced. Triple World Champion, silver and bronze medalist of European Championship. He has been among the top riders of the world for many years. In 2014 he scored the biggest number of points (59) among all riders in Speedway Best Pairs Cup series.

- I think that all athletes wants to be number one. If we all make points in every outing and have the needed luck, we can achieve the gold this year.- said Nicki Pedersen. 

Certainty in Denmark is also Niels Kristian Iversen, who thanks to the explosion of form, has been scoring valuable points for his country. He finished last season too early and that’s why the event at MotoArena will be “PUK”’s first official start after the injury.

In the whole history of speedway Pair World Championship the most effective duos had Danes. They are the leaders of medal classification which took place during twenty three years (from 1970 to 1993). The representative of the smallest country among the Nordic ones won 17 medals.
