On Wednesday at the Market of Old Town in Toruń press conference before the first round of Speedway European Championships took place. All gathered guests claimed that Saturday event will be special as far as the line – up is concerned and all fans who will appear on the stands of MotoArena won’t be leaving disappointed.
- That’s another big event at MotoArena, the most modern speedway stadium in Europe. The best riders of Europe are coming to Toruń to fight in front of our great fans for points and medals. Speedway European Championships is a great promotion for speedway but also for our city – started the President of Toruń, Michał Zaleski.
Director of Sports and Tourism Jarosław Więckowski also took part in the conference. He emphasized big importance of Saturday event and really strong starting list of SEC series.
- My friends told me, SEC is better than GP. When I look for the line –up of the SEC...I agree with them. It will be a huge promotion for Torun, because our tournament can watch people around the world by Eurosport Channel.
- SEC is a great project in which I have had a pleasure to start since the very beginning. The series is developing all the time and it is definitely going the right way. It is organized very well, riders want to ride here because the see great professionalism of the organizers. Really strong starting list causes that fans will have the opportunity to watch something special because emotions won’t be missed – added the best polish speedway rider in the history, Tomasz Gollob.
At the end the representative of One Sport, the organizer of Speedway European Championships series, Karol Lejman spoke.
“On this occasion we have prepared really attractive ticket prices. Especially we encourage whole families to come at the stadium because additionally to every normal ticket, the school one can be bought for only 2 PLN. From 1 p.m. will be open a special “Fan Zone”, where people can meet the big sport stars. We encourage to come at MotoArena on Saturday!”
