Current season is Piotr Protasiewicz's sixteenth representing Indianerna Kumla. It's the Indians' stadium, where the third round of Speedway European Championships will be held (August 15).
Piotr Protasiewicz feels very good on the track in Kumla. This is not surprising, since for sixteen seasons he has been riding for Indianerna. So it is no great secret that the Pole is a local hero, and maybe even a legend. Is knowledge of the stadium in Sweden will help Protasiewicz to gain first significant success in Speedway European Championships series?
After the two rounds "PePe" is seventh with fifteen points in the general classification of SEC. The differences between riders, however, are so small that one outstanding performance can even push in medal position. On the other hand, losses may be too big to catch up during the last round in Ostrow Wielkopolski.
The rider from Zielona Gora has known the surface in Kumla for many years. He knows how it behaves under all possible conditions. Automatically it gives him an advantage over the rest of the riders who occasionally or at all start at ICA Maxi Arena.
Fans in Kumla repeatedly pointed that Protasiewicz is one of them - Indian blood and bone and hence, they will put their sympathy not only on their countrymen but also on the representative of Poland.
The third round of SEC is already on August 15th at 7 p. m. in Kumla. Tickets are available through the service WWW.ticnet.se
