This season is very good for you. Are you fully satisfied with your results?
- I’m very satisfied that’s true, but I and the team are always working to do things even better and this time is the same.
Were you preparing in some special way during the winter break?
- More workout at the gym and I was thinking more about what food to eat.
This is your first season in Speedway European Championships. Were you a little bit nervous before the round in Torun?
- (Laugh) I was very nervous, but as soon as I dropped the clutch in my first heat everything was good and I felt great. Nerves is a normal thing, but you have to do everything to not be paralyzed because it took the opportunity to have a good result.
What do you generally think of this event, I mean SEC?
- I love it, I feel that there are the best riders in Europe, well maybe Tai Woffinden is missing. It should be emphasized that every heat is a battle from start to finish. I also think that One Sport has chosen great tracks, really good racing tracks.
You know the track in Kumla pretty well. Do you think it can be your advantage?
- Of course I know Kumla good, but so do the most of the other riders. Most riders love Kumla, it´s probably one of the best tracks in the world.
You have eight point loss to Emil who is so far first. Do you think it is still possible to fight for the gold medal?
- Everything is possible, but it´s going to be hard. Emil is such a good rider who is in a great shape. Eight points is many but remember that there are still two rounds. Everything can happen.
What can you say about the level of SEC?
Like I said before, except from Tai, there the best riders in Europe and therefore the level is really high. Maybe event the highest since the beginning of the existence of SEC.
Has SEC surprised you in some way?
- Not really, OneSport and all people work with SEC are really professionals that’s why I feel really well in these conditions. Really everything is fine.
What was your reaction when you found out that the wild card is given to you?
- I was so happy, I really wanted to get in to SEC. I didn’t start in the qualifications but the organizers have trusted me and I think that I don’t let down. That’s really important for me that I’m part of this year’s SEC.
Do you think that Kumla is a good choice of the organizers as far as Swedish tracks are concerned?
- There are a lot of great tracks in Sweden, but I believe that it’s a really good choice from them and there will be great event. There are many ways a lot of possibilities to pass. I’m really looking forward to it!
What result in SEC would be satisfying for you at the end of the season?
- Like I said before the first race, I want to be on the podium. Plans is one thing but what is going to be is another case but together with my team we’ll do everything to score as many points as possible.
