Martin, to third place in the general classification of Speedway European Championships you are losing 11 points at this moment. It's really a lot. Do you think this loss is yet to catch up?
- Hard to say, but I think that probably not. I focus more on the struggle to stay in the series, because the podium rather escaped me.
In contrast, on other riders Janusz Kołodziej and Artem Laguta you have only 3 point advantage. It seems that the fight will be really tough ...
- For sure it will be a good fight and a good show. We will try to show good racing and I hope that everything will end well for me.
We are ahead of the tournament in Ostrow. What are your memories connected with this track? Have you often ridden on it?
- It's a cool track. Several times I was there for test matches and I can say that I like racing there. It is a great track that suits me and you can find many ways to race, so it promises to be a really nice tournament.
The beginning of SEC series in Torun was bad for you, then it was well in Landshut and again a little worse in Kumla. So now I think it's time for a good tournament in Ostrow ...
- (Laugh) I hope so. Indeed it is as you said - once I'm doing better, and sometimes worse. I hope that now it will be really good result in Ostrow.
This season Emil Sayfutdinov is the clear leader. Is this a little surprise for you?
- No, Emil is a great rider and I know he will ride well. Now, in every event he only confirms it. You can see that he is in excellent form and is really fast. I wish him all the best really.
As far as I know, this season you did not avoid some confusion with silencers. I’ve heard you changed Poldem to King and it was better. Is it true?
- Yes, indeed it was, but again I ride on Poldem, that’s all I can say. Now the engines works really well and I cannot complain.
In Polish league, only few people believed that your club Unia Tarnow will ride so well ...
- It is true, as always for us, and nobody puts us or believe in us. In fact, they should probably get used to it that it is worth to put us, because we are a really good team. For several seasons we are in the play - offs, and it really does not happen by accident.
Is it easier for you to ride on the grounds that no one puts on you not?
- Actually, we do not look at all of whether someone puts us or not. We make our job and try to ride as good as possible. We have a good track, great fans and everything just works that simply results come also very good.
It is no secret that you're a fan of tattoos. Are these, in your case, all planned actions, or rather you act spontaneously?
- 90% are all planned tattoos, which earlier I plan. You could say that these 10% are those spontaneous decisions, because sometimes I come to any idea that I would make some tattoo. Generally, however, my every tattoo has sense to me and it is associated with my ideas.
Do you think that your successes and good results improve some popularity of speedway in Slovakia?
- I guess so. There are a lot of young riders in my country who are doing really well. I also hope that in the near future the situation will be even better and in my country will be plenty of riders who will practice this sport.
