Ostrów Wielkopolski was the last stop of this year's Speedway European Championships edition. Despite a big advantage over the rivals, Emil Sayfutdinov kept his concentration till the end, so that anything unexpected would happen.
Great knowledge of the track was used perfectly by Mateusz Szczepaniak (wild card holder) in 2 first series. In his first heat, he defeated among others Emil Sayfutdinov. Right from the beginning, some great speed was presented by Antonio Lindbaeck, who was willing to beat Nicki Pedersen and reach the silver.
Meeting in Ostrów was full of passes at the track, so the crowd simply could not be bored. Spectacular actions by Lindbaeck, Martin Vaculik or Przemysław Pawlicki caused that supporters were watching some heats standing up.
After two not so good heats, Emil Sayfutdinov finally found his speed. After his 1st place in 14th heat, it was clear that Russian reached the gold for the second time in a row. Unfortunately, during the celebration, Emil injured his shoulder and was forced to withdraw from the further rivalry.
That was used by Antonio Lindbaeck, who advanced to the final with maximum points grabbed and before the decisive heat was only 2 points down to Nicki Pedersen. It's well known, not from today though, that Dane is a specialist when it comes to winning important heats. It was not different in Ostrów - win in fourth round and silver SEC 2015 medal.
