One year ago, after gathering 38 points, placed at 5th position. And this season, he got 5 points less that led him to the 4th position (ex-equo with Martin Vaculik). It's worth mentioning that 'Koldi' was the best among the Poles, again.

Everything started from the poor performance in Torun, though. Usually racing well at Motoarena, this time, Kołodziej, despite the first good start, was a shadow of himself and ended this round with 5 points. It gave him 14th position.

Rider, cooperating with Krzysztof Cegielski, found his speed back in Landshut, where he was 6th. However it may be not that impressive, but it was close to a perfect draw between few riders after the main series. If Kolodziej had won his last heat, there would be a draw that would point the riders going through to the final. Unfortunately for Pole, two white and red were better: Przemysław Pawlicki and Tomasz Gollob. In the last chance heat, Kolodziej crossed the finish line as third.

In Swedish Kumla, Janusz Kołodziej had some ups and downs, that gave him 7th place - first after the one directing to the race-off heat. After three rounds, rider from Tarnow had no guarantee to advance to the next year's series. Therefore, round in Ostrow Wielkopolski was a last chance for a good performance and gathering solid amount of points.

It was clear that 'Koldi' would fight for every point. First podium this season, 12 points and promotion to the SEC 2016. With this last performance, Kolodziej proved that he deserves to be a part of this series.

Janusz is the only Pole, who secured his place for next season's SEC. Fans and Janusz himself probably counted on more. Before the start, it was told that Janusz could fight even for the medal. As it turned out, despite his ambitious attitude, ultimately got the 4th place and will appear in the SEC 2016
