Throughout three years of reformed Individual European Championship, there have been riders from 11 counties. The biggest amount of them so far was Poland's domain, however its' representatives haven't been able to stand on the podium.
There have been nine Polish internationals in SEC. The best spots has been taken by Janusz Kołodziej (5th in 2014, 4th in 2015)
Another countries with the most riders are: Denmark, Russia and Sweden. These ones have had four riders each so far. What's important, Danish riders have gathered four medals of European Championship, Russian have taken three (including two golds), Swedes have one (taken by Antonio Lindbaeck).
Three representatives were provided by Latvia including a solid performance by Maxim Bogdanovs in 2014, who despite being a reserve, went through the whole cycle and what's more - took the great, 6th place.
Two riders were representing Czech Republic - Ales Dryml (2013) and Vaclav Milik (2015). Both had some good, single performances, but at the end of the day they didn't amaze.
Since 2013, only one permanent rider were representing below countries: Slovakia, Great Britain, Ukraine, Croatia and Germany. Among these nations, one has to be underlined and it's Martin Vaculik (Slovakian) - first European Champion in the new formula.
Who will become a dark horse in 2016? Who will fail and who will amaze the fans? We still have to wait for these answers.
