The best Polish rider in Speedway Euro Champiuonship is reducing his starts by decreasing its number in the foreign leagues. In 2016, "Koldi" will start only in Polish league and SEC.
- Janusz is the one of those guys, who need to take their time to prepare for the meeting. Instead of travelling across different leagues, he prefers to practice, test new setups and simply start missing a match. It's not a kind of caprice or something, but it comes from past experiences - said rider's manager, Krzysztof Cegielski.
Recently, Janusz, who's about to fight for the European Championship's medal, is finding his passion in teaching new generations of speedway riders. In Tarnów, a speedway school was founded and Janusz is a coach there.
- I know that kids have been seriously preparing for the season, in both physical and mental way. Along with Janusz, they've been analysing different track situations and practicing their English - adds Cegielski.
Maybe, after ending his career, Janusz Kołodziej will totally get into coaching league's teams? So far, we'll be able to watch him in Speedway Euro Championship. It will be the third consecutive season in SEC for Tarnów rider. Inauguration will take place in German Güstrow (July 16), then riders will move to Latvian Daugavpils and Russian Togliatti. SEC 2016 will find its ending in Rybnik on September 17, when the Great Final of the series will be held.
