After a six-year break, bronze medalist of European Championship 2013, Grigorij Laguta is back to speedway on ice. Russian started in the meeting in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, however it wasn't a good one for him.
"Grisha" got the cane from the ice speedway's specialists. On Satutday, in five starts, Laguta gathered only three points. As the observers say, though, despite his atomic starts, he was losing positions at the distance. While riding a bit cautiously, Grisha was avoiding dangerous situations at the track.
Even though, Russian didn't make his mark in the meeting, he was one of the biggest starts that brought a lot of fans to the stadium.
Just to remind, Laguta didn't secure his spot for the next year's Speedway Euro Championship and to start there, he's forced to start in the eliminations or count on the wild card given by the organizers, the One Sport company. Laguta is a bronze medalist from 2013 (1st SEC edition) and a gold one from 2011, when championship was held according to the old formula.
