 The FIM-Europe together with promoter, One Sport, is pleased to announce that it has made its selection the permanent wild card riders and nominated substitute riders for the 2016 Speedway Euro Championship, which will begin in Guestrow, Germany on July 16th.

 In addition to the top 5 riders from season 2015, who have the qualification automatically, 7 riders who have qualified through the elimination rounds, the permanent wild cards are as follows: Grigorij Laguta (Russia), Andzejs Lebedevs (Latvia) and Vaclav Milik (Czech Republic).

The field will therefore consist of 15 riders from 7 countries: 4 from Denmark, 3 from Poland, 3 from Sweden, 2 from Russia, 1 from Czech Republic, 1 from Slovakia and 1 from Latvia.

There will be two nominated substitute riders for the series to be available in the event of withdrawal or injury. They are:

1st Substitute Rider: Nicolas Covatti (Italy)
2nd Substitute Rider: Martin Smolinski (Germany)

Following the opening round in Guestrow, the series will continue in Daugavpils on 6th August, Togliatti on 20th August and conclude in Rybnik on 17th September. More details on website: www.speedwayeuro.com .
