On Tuesday's noon in the Conference Center Adgar Plaza in Warsaw, a press conference concerning upcoming Speedway Euro Championship was held.
It started in quite an untypical way - from the Skype connection with Antonio Lindbaeck, bronze medalist of SEC 2015, who was heading to Sweden for a league match. Swede admitted that this year's cycle will be a tough one, but he's not afraid of any of the rivals and definitely will fight for something more than a year before. Ryszard Czarnecki, Vice-President of the European Parliament started.
- I am incredibly proud to be a honarary patron of the Speedway Euro Championship. One Sport company has achieved a lot on both national and international market. I support this idea, because it's a Polish company and because I see passion and engagement in these young people. It's a great project, so they have my full support.
Colleagues from One Sport are not at the beginning, but at the second corner and they just keep going better and better.
Then, One Sport representatives - Karol Lejman and Jan Konikiewicz took over the microphone.
- Just like Mr President mentioned, we signed a long-term deal with FIM Europe and a few-year deal with Eurosport, thanks to which we have a certainty that stability will be the feature that will describe is in forthcoming years. Speedway Euro Championship project is the idea developed through three years and now, we just want to do what we wanted from the very beginning. Build a relationship between cities, clubs and sponsors that will bear fruits in the future. - said Karol Lejman, One Sport.
- Fourth year of SEC is ahead, so we are starting with the new project called #Letsmakespeedway. It's not only a hashtag, but also or primarily a profile in the social media, that will present speedway from a bit different perspective. There will be statistics, interesting facts, movies and backstage materials. We want to get a bit deeper into speedway riders' lives and show it to fans. We hope that speedway fans will be satisfied with this project and will develop it together with us. - Konikiewicz added.
At the end of the conference, films were presented - sent directly from Janusz Kołodziej and Przemysław Pawlicki, in which they assured they will be fighting for some top goals on this Saturday, when the new, fourth season of Speedway Euro Championship starts.
