This event electrifies fans of speedway sport all over the Europe. Speedway European Championships finals are just few steps ahead. This year struggles for the Old Continent Champion title will be held in an unprecedented large scale formula.

In whole history of European Championships rate of the finals wasn’t as strong and aligned as in this season. That the lion’s share of merit of organizers, and more specifically their determination and consistent business. - We believe that the SEC inauguration in Gdańsk will be very interesting for every fan. Lineups completed by us, start a new cycle, “carte blanche”for every rider from the beginning, live transmission to 54 countries in Eurosport - we have a hope that it will be wind of change which world speedway needs - a few days before the SEC finals start Jan Konikiewicz and Karol Lejman from One Sport Company speaking.

Is also invaluable contribution from City of Gdańsk in preparations for the beginning of European championships. - After us we have an organization of great international events in basketball, football or volleyball and we are happy that this year speedway joined the noble circle. If fans and tenants be considerable crowd of fill the Wybrzeże stadium that will be a sign that this sport can be watched on the magnificent PGE Arena. Although it is an object of football, speedway took apart in the functional design of this venue - Andrzej Trojanowski, director of City of Gdańsk sports bureau, adds.

In the decisive phase of the tournament two former World Champions will take a part: Tomasz Gollob and Nicki Pedersen. If we add to them two riders who will probably fight for the World tittle this year which is Emil Sayfutdinov and Tai Woffinden we get a very strong and impressive quartet of SEC finalists. In Saturdays inauguration in Gdańsk four Polish riders will be shown. Besides mentioned Gollob who had guaranteed start, there will be Sebastian Ułamek and former junior World Champion Maciej Janowski who went through the qualifications. One event Wild Card went to very ambitious and talented Krystian Pieszczek who’s racin’ for Gdańsk club. One of the main favourites to the tittle is also Emil’s Russian team mate Grigorij Łaguta. He is famous for his aggressiveness, natural born kamikaze, deadly effective - that’s how in just a few words you can describe “ Grisza” who came here for the trophy.

The whole SEC field unanimous points out that the European finals are one of the most important event for them in this season. On the start list is not random names and presence of every rider is confirmed by effective work in the qualification round.
