Chance for points in Güstrow was stolen by the injury caught in the league. However, once he appeared at his track in Daugavpils, proved that he's a rider with some exceptional skills, always being a threat to his rivals.

Meeting in Latvia started for Kylmaekorpi quite indolently, from the third place. Next, he got to the finish line behind Przemysław Pawlicki's back. Another heats ended only with triumphs, so it was a good teaser before an extremely interesting final. Finn, starting under Swedish flag showed that he's familiar with every centimeter of the track in Daugavpils. In the great final, he was leading for three laps, but then a small mistake happened, that Grigorij Laguta made use of quickly.

Second place in a debut is still a great result. What's more, Kylmaekorpi was a top-scorer of the night among all the starting riders. Next two rounds, however, were not that good for Swede. In Togliatti, Kylmaekorpi was having quite an average time and ended with only 5 points gathered. After three "ones" in the beginning of the meeting, 4th position came and then 2nd. That was not enough to appear at the track for the sixth time in front of the Russian crowd.

Beginning of the round in Rybnik was also not the one he could have dreamed of. After three heats, Kylma had only one point and nothing seemed like he was about to improve it. Luckily for him, two last heats were way better and Joonas got 5 points.

Ultimately, next to Swede's name, there's number 25. These points let him finish at the 10th position of this year's Speedway Euro Championship. Neverthless, he missed 12 points to the 5th position - last one promoting to the next year's cycle. Who knows, how could it have gone if not for his absence in the first round in Güstrow. Meanwhile, it's time to fight for an advance to the next year's series.
