In his life, Nicki Pedersen won everything he could. The Dane reached everything what was to get in the world speedway. Last year, rider from Hamlet’s country gained the last trophy he needed – Individual European Championship.

Nicki Pedersen is well-known from his brave rides. He’s got a specific lifestyle too. Some people hate him for it while the others love. However, nobody can underestimate his achievements, because he’s a great champion. In a few previous years, he recorded a lot of huge results.

In 2003, he stood on the highest step of the SGP podium for the first time. After that, he did the same in 2007, when he was more than the best in the world – he scored 196 points. Next season he defended the title with 174 points, but like always, the best moments don’t last forever. Next seasons weren’t that good. He’s came to the top in 2012, when he lose the gold at the last round of SGP in Toruń. Last two medals he reached in 2014 and 2015, when he was third.

Since 2013, the main organiser of Individual European Championships is One Sport organization. Since then, Pedersen’s made a lot of huge results in that tournament. Dane finished at the podium for four times in a row. In 2014 he was third, in 2013 and 2015 second and last year he won the title.

For sure, it’s not the end of the list of his achievements. There are four team world championships (2006, 2008, 2012, 2014) in his collection. In the Polish fans minds, the most important is gold from 2014, when Danes won the fight with Poles on the last corner. Then Niels Kristian Iversen, after outside attack, overtook Janusz Kołodziej. Supporters gathered on city stadium in Bydgoszcz were shocked, but Danish team started the celebration.

We have to add, that Nicki Pedersen is the one of the best Danish speedway riders ever. He won national championship seven times (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2011). Surprisingly, he waited for the win in Polish Ekstraliga until 2015, when he gained the title with Unia Leszno. For sure, he won a lot of important individual tournaments too.
