Good beginning gave him a chance to chase the leader Andzejs Lebedevs. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t read the surface changes as good as his rival. That didn’t allow him to take the gold. At the same time, Russian closed the gap between him and Vaclav Milik and finally overtook Czech in general classification

In this year SEC, Russian showed some huge skills. Only first round in Toruń wasn’t good for him, because he finished racing after basic part. However, before last SEC round, younger Laguta brother said, that he is interested only in top 3 placing – finally he did it.

This year was really tough for me. I lost some points in Toruń. Of course next round in Gustrow was better, but on difficult track in Hallstavik, again I didn’t score enough points. - said Artem Laguta.

Before last round, not a lot of people believed that Laguta still can fight for the title. Furthermore, fans and specialists chose Vaclav Milik and Andzejs Lebedevs as the biggest favourites to take the title. Good beginning of final competition proved that Laguta is in the game as well.

Before the tournament, I thought that I will fight for third place. However, while it lasted I had a feeling, that I can be on the top of general classification. Everything changed again, when Andzejs had very good second part of competition. Then I hadn’t any chances to beat him – added Laguta.

After two series, Laguta was the most effective rider in final SEC round. Unfortunately for him, surface changes weren’t as easy to know as he expected. That caused his worse performance in second part of competition.

The track was pretty nice, because of the state of the surface I had to make some changes in my setups. I want to win it, but I don’t know what would he have to do to lose that war. I was close to him to 3-4 points and I felt that gold is possible, but then Andzejs found more speed and defend the title – said Artiom.
