On the 16th July bikes of the riders, who are taking part in Speedway European Championships, started long journey to Togliatti, which is almost thousand kilometers from Moscow. It’s already this Saturday, on the 20th July at 8 p. m. (local time) when there is the second round of Individual European Championship.
Similarly as a year ago the equipment of the riders came from Toruń on a few lorries. The riders will reach the place on Saturday for the official training before the tournament. The bikes had to be sent on Wednesday to be there on time. The organizers admit that this is really big logistics operation but thanks to last year experience they don’t expect any problem to reach the stadium named Anatolij Stiepanow.
As far as the stadium is concerned, it was said to be the most modern in Europe according to FIM in 2012. The stadium, where Mega - Lada has its matches is one of the most modern sports object in Russia but also in the whole Europe. Since last year there has been Individual European Championship tournaments. The first winner was Emil Sajfutdinow, the representative of hosts. Surely local fans count on last year repeat to hear Russian anthem again.
The second round of Speedway European Championships in Togliatti is already on the 20th July at 6 p. m. (CET).
