Jurica Pavlic finished this year’s European Championship in the eighth place. The begging wasn’t good but during the next rounds he was making clear progress and thanks to good second part he found his place in the first half of the series.
The beginning for Croat was as bad as possible because he was last in Gustrow. Only three points caused that at the very beginning Pavlic complicated a lot of things and only great scores could be a guarantee to qualify to the next year series. In Togliatti it was really better because Croat rode in the last chance heat. However he didn’t seized the opportunity.
Jura was even closer to the final in Holsted when he scored eleven points in regular phase of the tournament. Finally he was worse than Emil Sajfutdinow and Peter Kildemand who stood on the podium at Moldow Arena.
He missed only one point to the last chance heat during the last tournament in Częstochowa. The last rider who qualified then was Tomasz Gollob who scored 9 points. Pavlic had eight and as a result he didn’t have chance for better score in European Championship series.
However this year’s series was much better than last year. In 2013 Pavlic scored only 20 points in four tournaments. This year he had eleven points more. Who knows, maybe the next season Croat will fight for the permanent place in 2015’s series.
