MotoArena has hosted the best riders in the world for the last few years. 2015 won’t be different and in Toruń two big events organized by One Sport take place – Speedway Best Pairs Cup (28th March) and Speedway European Championshisp (20th June).
It can be said that MotoArena and Toruń are home of Speedway Best Pairs Cup formula. It was the city of Toruń where one day tournament Eurosport Speedway Best Pairs was inaugurated in 2013 and it was supposed to remind about pair racing which was forgotten then. The project had a great acceptance – 7 best duos in the world, transmission to 71 countries in the whole world, almost 5 million people in front of TVs – it was really special day for speedway fans.
Because of such great interest the organizers decided to extend the formula to three round and change the name for Speedway Best Pairs Cup. The first winners were Australians who won in Toruń and Landshut. The second place in Eskilstuna was the final step to one of the biggest successes in the history of Australian speedway.
In 2015 the inauguration takes place exactly the same day as 2014 – the 28th March. At the stadium in Toruń five best national team of the last season will show up, including SBPC champions, Australians, USA team led by World Champion Greg Hancock and Latvia who has received the wild card for this tournament.
However Speedway Best Pairs Cup is not the only event organized by One Sport and not only which fans will have an opportunity to see in Toruń. It is already on the 20th June when the inauguration of Speedway European Championships takes place. It is Toruń where among others Emil Sajfutdinow, Nicki Pedersen and Janusz Kołodziej will be fighting for the first points in general classification of European championship.
The tickets for March tournament of Speedway Best Pairs Cup can be already bought. It is worth to point that tickets for SEC are also available for people who has already bought one for SBPC round!
