26 – year old Peter Kildemand is better and better year after year. Last season was the best in his career so far. “Spidey”, as he is called by colleagues from speedway track and fans, became one of the revelation of Enea Ekstraliga. He appeared in Poland in 2007 when he became a rider of Kolejarz Opole. However he didn’t get many chances there. In two year time he took part only in three meetings. Then he had bad season in Polonia Piła in 2009. He disappeared from Polish league for three years but representatives of Łódź took him. There the Dane’s talent exploded. A year ago he was the leader of his team and he saved Orzeł from relegation. In winter he got his chance in Częstochowa and it was great choice. This season he will be rider of PGE Stal Rzeszów.
Kildemand won vice – champion title in his debut season in Speedway European Championships and it was quite big surprise. Dane had a chance to win with Emil Sajfutdinow until the very end but in one of the heats during the last round in Częstochowa he fell. 2015 is said to be even better year for Kildemand. New aims, new reality. What will be “Spider”’s score?
Kołodziej has already many successes for example: two silver medals of SWC, three gold medals of Individual Polish Championship or four titles of Polish Team Champion. In Europe “Koldi” was on a podium twice. In 2005, together with Robert Kościecha and Krzysztof Kasprzak, they won in the final in Gdańsk. Next season he won in European Club Team Cup. Kołodziej has also experience in racing with the best riders. In 2011 he took part in Grand Prix series. He scored fifty points and was fourteenth.
He started last year Speedway European Championships series with the third place in Gustrow. Next a little bit worse meetings made it impossible for him to fight for European Championship medal but he was the last rider who is still in the series and this season he will start again in the tournament which is organized by One Sport. This way Janusz Kołodziej was the only Pole who managed to win the place in SEC 2015. He was also the best Polish rider in last year series. Surely fans and the rider himself count on something more in the coming season.
He had a debut when he was 11 years old in Fjelsted. Triple World Champion (2003, 2007, 2008). Professional, everything has to be done perfectly. Three times he was the best in the world but he still wants more. He puts himself another aims and one of them is winning Speedway European Championships. In his debut season he won silver medal and last year bronze one. Pedersen will definitely be fighting for the podium but he dreams only of gold.
In 20134 he was really close but he lost gold medal in the last tournament because of Slovak, Martin Vaculik. Despite of big advantage, he had to accept the victory of Vaculik. The start of 2014 was even better. Two first rounds in Gustrow and Togliatti were won by “Power” but worse form became in the least expected moment – on his home track in Holsted. His loss appeared to be too big to chase the lead in Częstochowa. Finally he took the third place which motivates him to really hard work. Will 2015 be the year of Nicki Pedersen?
He is young but already very experienced world class rider. In 2006 his talent was noticed by Andreas Jonsson. Thanks to Swede, Emil joined Polonia Bydgoszcz where he was riding for seven seasons. In 2015 he will be representative of Fogo Unia Leszno.
Russian, as the first rider in the history, became World Champion U21 twice in a row. In his debut season in Grand Prix he won bronze medal. When it seemed that 2013 will be the year of Emil Sajfutdinow he got seriously injured during the league match at MotoArena. The rider was deprived of the opportunities for both World Champion and European Champion title.
What he didn’t manage to do in 2013, he did in 2014. Russian became European Champion! Everything was decided in Częstochowa, in the 18th heat when Peter Kildemand while attacking Emil hooked of the fence and fell. Dane was excluded and Sajfutdinow was celebrating winning the title with his team. He dedicated the gold medal to his death father and in the coming season he would like to defend the title and put his name once again on the cards of European Championship history.
Slovak speedway rider, born in Żarnowica. He had a debut in Polish league in 2006, as a rider of KSM Krosno. He was racing there also in 2007. In 2008 he decided to sign contract in Stal Rzeszow, Danish team Holsted and Swedish Smederna Eskilstuna. In 2009 he was a rider of Wybrzeze Gdansk, which was promoted to Polish Ekstraliga then. After relegation of this team he moved to Unia Tarnow where he has been riding until today.
Vaculik has also Polish license. In 2006 he became Team Czech Champion with AK Slany. First and so far the only Grand Prix tournament which he won took place on 23rd of June 2012 in Gorzow, when he was reserved. He won gold medal of Individual European Championship in 2013. On the track in Rzeszów he scored maximum of 18 points and he beat Nicki Pedersen and Grigorij Laguta. He finished last year Speedway European Championships series just after the podium. During the season he had his collarbone injured and because of that he wasn’t able to give 100% of his skills in Częstochowa. After the half of the heats it was known that he lost European Champion title. He was fighting for any medal until the very end but finally two Danes were better than him.
