Lokomotive Daugavpils with three Latvians who took part in Speedway Best Pairs Cup lost in away match with Polonia Bydgoszcz 33:57. According to the calendar of Nice Polish Speedway League it was a match of the second round but it was organized before the official beginning of the league. The best of the three riders who were present on Motoarena was Andzejs Lebedews.
Martin Vaculik and Artiom Laguta took part in a test match before the season in Tarnow. In the match with PGE Marma Rzeszow European Champion and a representative of Russia didn’t lose. Worse scores had Adrian Miedzinski who wasn’t chosen by the Polish manager to the team for the tournament of Speedway Best Paris Cup in Landhut. “Miedziak” started in a memorial of Alfred Smoczyk in Leszno where he scored 5 points and was eleventh.
On Saturday in Auckland this year Grand Prix series started. In New Zealand Martin Smolinski won unexpectedly. The rider is a representative of German team in Speedway Best Pairs Cup. Darcy Ward had a bad luck that day – he was hit by Smolinski. Australian rider was taken to a hospital with suspected concussion.

Over 5 million people in Europe have watched speedway tournament of Speedway Best Pairs Cup in Torun! The first tournament of this year Speedway Best Pairs series, which was organized on Motoarena in Torun, was really exciting for the viewers of Eurosport. Spectacular rivalry, in which Australia beat Denmark and Poland, was interesting for viewers in Poland and abroad. The scope of the transmission in Europe was over 5 million people (5 100 000) from which 625 thousands were in Poland [1].
League season in Poland is closer and closer so teams are organizing test matches. On Tuesday afternoon there was a match between two “neighbours”: Polonia Bydgoszcz and Unibax Torun. In the squad of the second team there were Emil Sajfutdinow and Adrian Miedzinski who are the participants of Speedway Best Pairs Cup and Speedway European Championships.
76.2% of fans who voted in the Speedway European Championships survey, believes that Martin Vaculik will not defend his Individual European Champion title in the 2014. A little over 23% of the voters believe in Slovak and gives him a chance to re triumph Speedway European Championships.
Almost 200 of journalist from all over the world, gallons of “Red Bull” and fans who in a number of about 10 thousands were present on Motoarena. What is more, television broadcast was watched by millions of viewers in over 70 countries all over the world.
