Timo Lahti replaced Andzejs Lebedevs in the first round of TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2020 which took place in Toruń. The Finland representative scored eight points which made him seventh.
Lahti is the first reserve rider of TAURON SEC series. The Finish rider replaced Andzejs Lebedevs, who suffered a serious injury during a recent PGE Ekstraliga match.
In Toruń, Lahti introduced himself with a very good result. The rider from Finland scored eight points and won one of the races. As he said himself, he has a positive opinion about his own performance, but there also were some critical accents.
- It was OK. You could see I didn't race this year and I made a few mistakes, but yeah... it was a good start and I'm quite satisfied anyway. There was both, positive and negative points. I made a few mistakes, which is of course negative, but there was also a lot of positive and I'm looking forward to continue from today - said Timo Lahti.
The second round of the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship 2020 will be held on Wednesday, July 8th in Bydgoszcz. The competition will start at 7 PM. Tickets for the event are available on eBilet.pl.
