Patryk Dudek finished second in Saturday's TAURON SEC round held in Güstrow. Thanks to the high score, the Polish representative moved up to second place in the interim classification of the series.
Dudek presented an even, high form through the evening - he reached the finish line only in first or second place. As it turned out, the 12 points scored in the regular phase were not enough to advance directly to the final, so he had to fight for a place in the 22nd race in the extra heat, in which he crossed the finish line as second. This result meant that Dudek chose the starting grid last.
- The final was difficult for me because I had to choose the second gate. I knew that on this track, it was not a good choice. Nevertheless, I managed to take second place, which I am happy with.
Last year's bronze medallist finally took the second place - just behind Janusz Kołodziej. After two rounds of TAURON SEC 2022, Dudek is three points behind the leader. The riders will fight for more points in Łódź, where Duzers raced only once.
- I'm looking forward to the next round. I have raced only once in Łódź and I have good memories of this track.
The third round of the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship will take place on 3 September in Łódź. Tickets for this event are available at ebilet.pl. The first heat is scheduled for 19:00 CET.
