Dominik Kubera took second place during the third round of TAURON SEC, which was held in Łódź on the last Saturday. In the final, The Pole was on the lead, but finally he crossed the finish line just behind Janusz Kołodziej.

Kubera took part in the competition due to Kai Huckenbeck's injury. As he stressed before the first heat, it was an important meeting for him, but because he is not in the line-up as the permanent rider of the series, he decided to try a few changes in the set-up.

From the beginning, Kubera set the pace with three wins in a row, and he advanced to the final directly after the main phase of the meeting. Before the last heat of the day he chose to start from gate C - the one from which Patryk Dudek won in the 'last chance' race.

Kubera was leading in the final, but as he admits, too many mistakes and speed of Janusz Kołodziej made him to cross the finish line as second.

- I'm really happy, because second place is where I wanted to be before the meeting. I was changing set-up a lot, because I'm still learning speedway. I changed everything and it worked as well. I made too many mistakes during the last race. I feel like I could win it.

As of now, Dominik Kubera raced in two round of TAURON SEC, which were held in Rybnik and Łódź. Thanks to his high score, he is currently on the eighth place in the interim classification with five point loss to Bartosz Smektała, who is standing on the last "save place". What's more, the Kai Huckenbeck's injury is serious, so it is possible that Kubera will take part in the Grand Final in Pardubice, where he will fight about TOP 5 of TAURON SEC 2022.

The Grand Final of the Individual European Championship will take place in Pardubice on September 23rd. Tickets for the meeting are available via bit.ly/Pardubice_Tickets.
