We are only a little over a day from Eurosport Speedway Best Pairs tournament. The event which will take place in Toruń electrifies whole speedway world, because we will see there four champions of the world with actual champion - Chris Holder from Australia.
Saturday's show will be watched by many great people from sport and business world. One of them will be the gold medalist of the Olympics in London (2012) in weightlifting Adrian Zieliński. - I know that speedway is very exciting and pair tournament will be fantastic. All polish people will have their fingers crossed for Tomasz Gollob, Jarek Hampel and Adrian Miedziński and I wish them victory. I am very happy that I am invited for this tournament. Speedway on Motoarena looks great - said the champion from London.
Tomorrow night the duets chamionships will be watched by great champions of polish "black sport" history. One of them will be Zenon Plech, who four times won the medals of pair world cup (silver and 3 bronzes). - I'm very happy of the fact that this tournament is back in speedway calendar. We can additionally be happy that it will take place in Poland, where are a lot of great supporters. For the last few years this competition was a little bit forgotten and somebody finally decided to remind it. Words of appreciation for the organizers - said happy Plech.
Second "living legend" that will appear on 8th June at Motoarena will be Jerzy Szczakiel, who in 1971 with Andrzej Wyglenda won gold medal in the finals of Pair World Cup in Rybnik. - Pair tournaments are very exciting and spectacular. Recently I was in Bydgoszcz on GP tournament and met there Barry Briggs. When he saw me he smiled and patted me on the shoulder and said Rybnik '71. And then we were talking about that tournament. Because of this fantastic memories I am happy that this competition is back to speedway - added our interlocutor.
