Fans following struggles in Speedway European Championships series may notice a pattern. Like last year, Nicki Pedersen won in the inaugural round of European Championships. But this is not the end of the analogy. It is true that the current series has only just begun, but Dane’s victory can worry him. Why?

 In Poland the tenth round of PGE Ekstraliga was held. The first match took place already on Friday when Unia Tarnow lost on their home track with Unia Leszno 43:47. On Sunday fans could watch great meeting at MotoArena where the local team KS Toruń won with decimated by injuries Falubaz Zielona Gora 46:43. The bonus point was assured hosts by Piotr Protasiewicz and Andreas Jonsson. In two other matches hosts, MoneymakesMoney.pl Stal Gorzow and Betard Sparta Wroclaw had big wins.

 In the first round of the Speedway European Championships in Torun you took the seventh place. Is it a good result?

- For sure I wanted more. I hoped that I will manage to be in the last chance heat. Unfortunately I was unable to – I scored eight points and it turned out that it was unfortunately not enough.

There is still dust after the first round of Speedway European Championships in Toruń and it is already needed to think about the next start. This time, on July 11th we will be in Landshut, where the best riders of Europe will fight for further points for the general classification.

 Before the final heat, he did not have a choice on the gate. Rivals left him theoretically the worst, the third one. Dane proved, however, that in critical moments he can reach to the heights of his skills and he won the event at MotoArena.

 On Tuesday evening there were two meetings of Swedish Elitserien. In Eskilstuna, the local team Ikaros Smederna had a big win over Piraterna Motala 54:36. One of the heroes of the local team was Paweł Przedpełski who scored 9 points and a bonus. In the second meeting, Lejonen Gislaved was beaten on the home track by Indianerna Kumla 39:51 and as a result the situation to fight for play – off is quite complicated for them.

 Last Sunday in Poland there was the ninth round of PGE Ekstraliga. Three matches were held. The meeting in Rzeszów was moved on 22nd of July. MoneymakesMoney.pl Stal Gorzów can boast the biggest victory because they beat Unia Tarnów 61:29. Betard Sparta Wrocław also won their match with KS Toruń 51:39. Definitely the most interesting meeting was in Grudziądz. The local team MrGarden GKM Grudziądz was losing in one moment with a few points but before the last heat they were leading. In the last heat duo Nicki Pedersen – Grzegorz Zengota provided the team from Leszno victory.

 Paweł Przedpełski, who was riding with the wild card, impressed speedway Europe by taking the second place during the inauguration of Speedway European Championships series. The local rider U21 admitted after the event that he did not expect such a good result, emphasizing that he is very happy.

 Emil Sayfutdinov was on his way to victory in the first round of Speedway European Championships in Toruń. In the regular phase he didn’t know the bitterness of defeat and with a maximum of fifteen points qualified directly to the final. In it, however, he was beaten by Nicki Pedersen and Paweł Przedpełski.

 Nicki Pedersen won the first round of Speedway European Championships in Torun. In the big final Danish rider was better than Pawel Przedpelski, who rode in Torun with wild card. Third place took Emil Sajfutdinov, who was invicible in first five heats. Russian rider is a leader of general classification with 16 points. 

 Today in Toruń, a press conference was held at which representatives of One Sport and FIM Europe announced a decision on the extension of the contract for organizing Speedway European Championships series. One Sport will organize the series at least until 2025!
