The second round of TAURON SEC 2023 in German Güstrow was a promotion of speedway at its finest. That’sexactly what the organizers of the European Championship tournaments aim for. The track witnessed intense battles, and the crowd enthusiastically reacted to the riders' performances. This excellent signal comes before the next two rounds in Bydgoszcz and Pardubice.

Janusz Kołodziej won, with Mikkel Michelsen and Andzejs Lebedevs completing the podium. These were the most important outcomes of the Saturday night in Güstrow. The attendance on the stands witnessed a great rivalries between the riders.

- Güstrow shows that the most prestigious competitions in the world should take place here. Plenty of passing, great audience. Tight, contact racing - everything that a speedway fan loves. The pace of the event was also good. We can only applaud the people who have been organizing this tournament for years - said respected journalist from Polsat and Eleven Sports, Tomasz Lorek.

The short, 298-meter track in Güstrow provided many opportunities for the riders, and the best speedway riders of the Old Continent took advantage of it, presenting spectacular overtakes and technical performances. Janusz Kołodziej, Mikkel Michelsen, and Andzejs Lebedevs agreed that Güstrow offers an excellent atmosphere for speedway. There is a strong belief, bordering on certainty, that all of them will be eager to return to this track.

- As far as I can remember, we have always encountered professionalism and openness from the representatives of the Güstrow club, who have cooperated with us in organizing the events - said Karolina Jankowska from the board of One Sport before the competition.

After the races, there was also a fireworks display, and most of the fans left the stadium in great moods. The local German favorites might have lacked success as Kai Huckenbeck and Norick Blödorn couldn't threaten the top riders, although they had their good moments. Their supporters will undoubtedly show up in the coming years to support them.

The thrilling round in Güstrow is a good prognostic before the upcoming TAURON SEC rounds in Bydgoszcz and Pardubice. In the Czech Republic, medals will be awarded, but already at the Polonia stadium, great excitement awaits as the margin for error among the favorites is practically non-existent. Mikkel Michelsen has a 9-point lead over second-placed Leon Madsen in the general classification, and behind the Danes, there are several riders eager to fight for top positions, including Lebedevs, Kacper Woryna, Patryk Dudek, Kołodziej, and Dimitri Berge.
