Three Russian riders will race in the Speedway European Championships finals this year. One of them will be Roman Povazhny who came second in Slovakian qualifications.

After Challenge in Zarnovica Russian international was in fantastic humor. - It went really good for me. I’m still doing a hard work and preparing good engines. After qualification I will have a few more fixtures what makes me very happy. I was riding very come and with plenty of hope. I couldn’t get out from there without qualifications if there was so many places for the final rounds (laugh) - says ten points scorer in Zarnowica.

In Povazhny’s opinion one of the Speedway European Championships favourite is his team Russia mate Emil Sayfutdinov. - Finals will be very interesting and I know now that it will be really hard in it also. For me favourite is Emil who is havin’ a fantastic season - he says. And what aim Povazhny have for the finals? - I will be satisfied with place in first ten. The main thing is not to be last. I am the oldest one in the finals but I don’t want to be the weakest rider( laugh). For me one thing is really important in this competition. Every SEC venue is quite close to places where I live and this looks really nice if you thinkin’ about logistics. I will be at home for one extra time. I will visit my mother and friends which is very important for me - he adds.

"Ropa" is satisfied with his equipment and he is very optimistic about the first round of Speedway European Championships in Gdansk. - If we talkin’ about Gdańsk track this is a normal venue. I’m going there with full of confidence, because I’m racing better and better now. I have much better engines and definitely I won’t be last. I want to kindly invite everyone of you to Gdańsk on July the 27th - Roman Povazhny finishes.
